WELCOME TO THE OUTPOST

​Located near the campground Contact Station situates a small but very active, volunteer retail enterprise.  It is also a special gathering place for Friends members and campers alike... the Outpost Camp Store.  

Store Information

  • Opens: The second Friday in April to the end of October. 
  • Store Hours:  Friday and Saturday,  1:30 pm to sunset.  (Extended hours on holiday weekends, Thursday to Sunday,  if possible.)  
  • Cash and credit cards accepted.  (Sorry, no checks.)
  • Inventory includes:  firewood, bags of ice, camping supplies, souvenirs, clothing, drinks, ice cream and more!
  • Get information on Park programs and FOCSP events!​​

About the Store

     The Outpost operates with the help of many dedicated volunteers who keep the store stocked and ready for customers throughout the camping season. 
    Over the past two years, the staff has seen a sharp increase in store activity.  The popularity of camping is on the rise!   And to help keep up, a credit card system was implemented for our customer's convenience after years of "cash only" sales.  The Friends are very grateful for everyone's patronage!  ​
​    A goal for the Outpost this year is to be able to extend store hours to Thursdays, but we need more help to do so!  Please consider helping. No special skills are needed. Even just helping an evening or two a month is appreciated. It's a great gathering place for Friends, and there's ice cream!
