What We Do...

  • The team starts field work in autumn and continues working into the winter. Team members are alerted to work days, times, and locations via e-mail. Field work typically takes place in the afternoon.
  • Team members meet at the designated work site or a nearby parking lot.
  • The work involves cutting small trees and shrubs with a chain saw, hand saw, or loppers and then applying an herbicide to the cut.
  • The Friends group has all the equipment needed to support up to six volunteers cutting the invasive plants.
