Codorus Trick or Treat Geocaching 2023

A hole over 200 feet wide in the Karakum Desert of Turkmenistan has been burning since a 1971 drilling disaster. Photos explain why it is known as the Gates of Hell.
Since we could not dig a huge hole and set it on fire here in the park, we did the next best thing and created our own devilish hide known as the Grates of Heck.
Note the terrain rating is low, so there is no need to hike in difficult places for this geocache. The difficulty shows why this one is evil. Trust us, it is there even if it does not look like it. Be careful retrieving this container and carefully put it back as found. These Halloween geocaches are meant to be easy to discover, but this is most challenging of the bunch.
This isn’t a real geocache on geocaching.com as it was created just for the Trick or Treat event. Just like a real geocache, there is a log inside to sign. Sign your name, initials, or team name on the paper log to claim your find!
